Haider Movie Review – From the eyes of a Literature

The fact that Haider is based on Hamlet made me curious to watch it, as soon as it is released. So, what was next? I booked my tickets and sat out for Haider show. While watching the movie, my mind was judging the similarities, dissimilarities between the movie and the Shakespeare’s play. I was constantly comparing the story and the plot and trying to judge which one was better.

What I had thought to be a re-telling of Hamlet, turned out to be a different story in itself. Yes, Haider is an ‘Adaptation’ of Hamlet and not a copy of Hamlet. And for this originality and awesome story, Vishal Bhardwaj secures all 100 points from me.

SANAM’s Review of Ek Ladki Ko Dekha (Acoustic) Version

SANAM band formerly known as SQS Project recently launched their new video ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha’ (Acoustic) version. The song is a cover of the original version, filmed in the Bollywood movie, ‘1942 a love story.’

The Acoustic version has been sung besides water and is simple yet alluring. The four guys from SANAM viz Sanam Puri, Samar Puri, Keshav and Venky ft Sanah are dressed in casuals and occupied with what they do best – guitar, drum etc. The song’s lyrics have been kept as they were and still you will feel that this is a different song.

You can call his song a magical experience, created by these four charming guys and you have to agree they know there job well. The striking feature that I found worthy was the simplicity of the video. Without much ado about anything, the song comes as a fresh visual and vocal artistic representation. The background location does not shift all through the song, and that is what provides us a raw and real feeling.

Listen it once and you can never forget the mesmerizing effect, it leaves on you. And, of course looking and listening to four cute guys is really a treat for the eyes. If you have not listened to their Ek Ladki Ko Dekha (Acoustic) version yet, here is the link to it:

A little more about SANAM

The lead vocalist of the SANAM group, Sanam Puri has made his debut in Bollywood with song ‘Dhat Teri Ki’ in the film, ‘Gori Tere Pyar Mein.’ The next song that added to his acclaim was ‘Ishq Bulavaa’ in the film, ‘Hasee toh Phasee.’

The group is also renowned for its song, ‘Main hoon’, which become the title track for the film, ‘The Amazing Spiderman 2.’ Other than these, SANAM has sung many other songs and acoustic versions. They have also been part of many other projects, events, shows, and live performances.

Listen to them and be a judge yourself!
